Show Advancements at Cub Scout Pack Meet Told A Cub Scout Pack Meeting was held Thursday evening, Oct. 27 at the North Elementary School featuring a program built around the theme, "Cub Scout Beekeepers." Beekeep-ers." The Jocal Pack No-. 33-16 Is under the sponsorship of the Kiwanls Club of Cedar City. The meeting was under the direction of Boyd Paulson, Cubmaster and Blaine Standifird. A strip film "The Tack Meeting" Meet-ing" was shown by Drew Haight, field commissioner for Cubbing for the Cedar Breaks District. An outline of the November Theme, "American the Beautiful," was presented by Louis McClellan, who with Max Whitney, served as Ideas commlttmen for the theme. This theme will be followed In Den Meetings throughout the month and wUl be depicted in song, skits, and exhibits at the next Pack meeting, according to Paulson. The next Pack meeting has been scheduled for December 1. Mr. and Mrs. Corry Olson and Dr. and Mrs. A. F Rich, were appointed ap-pointed as ideas committeemen for the December theme, "Customs "Cus-toms of Other Lands" Cub scouts of Den No. 5, under the direction of Den Mother, Mrs. Robert Munford, presented a skit in costume, based on the life of the honeybee. The following awards for advancement ad-vancement and electlves were presented by Mr. Paulson: Steven Standifird, Wolf Silver Arrow; Lark Flanigan, two Silver Ar-rows; Ar-rows; Wesley Roberts, two Bear Silver Arrows. DougJas McVey was awarded the Lion Badge, for advancement In rank. i |
