Show Xanana Resident Dies After Poor Health Seige Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed In Kanarraville Wednesday afternoon for James Wajlace Davis, 65, long time resident of . tbat, community. Mr. Davis died In Salt Lake City Saturday of internal in-ternal hemmorhage. He had been In poor health for some time., He was born in Kanarraville on Oct. 28, 1890, a son of James Lorenzo and Irona VVeltha Hanks Davis. On Oct. 19, 1921, he mar-Tied mar-Tied Vllda StapJey of Parowan. He was a veteran of military service ser-vice during World War I and was a member of the LDS church. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed by Bishop Alton Ford and the Invocation was rendered by Jean-lve Jean-lve Williams. The opening musical number was a song, "Jesus, Lover of My : Soul,", by the Kanarraville Ward choir. Other musical numbers on the program included songs, "In Tho r.ardpn" nrt "Thi Lord's .Prayer." . Speakers were L. J. Williams and Lynn Reeves. Benediction was spoken by .John Henry Williams and the dedicatory prayer was by Mont Lemmon at the Kanarraville cemetery Mr. Davis is survived by four sons and one daughter. Dean S. Davis, Las Vegas, Nev.; Marvin H. Davis, Henderson, Nev.; James Clive Davis, Salt Lake City; Brent Davis and Mrs. Elma (Ora) Mltche.M, Cedar Citv. Also surviving surviv-ing are 11 grandchildren, two brothers, Arvil and Hillman Davis, Las Vegas, Nev., and one sister, Mrs. B. N. (Viola) Nor-velle, Nor-velle, Hawthorne, Nev. |
