Show ROTC Slates Safety Course for Youngsters Special films and demonstrations demonstra-tions of safety with firearms will be shown to boys from in and around Cedar City between the ages of 8 and 17, on Thursday, Sept. 6 by the Reserve Officers Training Corps at , the Branch Agricultural college, according to Lt. Col. Oliver W. Harris, head of the unit. Three films will be shown by the ROTC, "How to Shoot a Rifle", "How to Clean and Handle a Rifle", and "How to Get Killed in One Easy Lesson." The three films will last approximately 50 minutes, after which a short lecture lec-ture on safety and sportsmanship will be given bv MSgt. Gam McAfee Mc-Afee of the ROTC staff. Boys planning to attend the movies and the lecture should meet at 7 p. m. on Sept. 6 at the air science building, formerly the gymnasium, on the BAC campus. If sufficient boys show an interest in-terest in the subject, they will be given further instructions and demonstrations, including firing of rifles on the ROTC range. |
