Show C. A. P. Cadet Returns From Three-Week Air Trip to England Howard Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Jackson of Cedar Ce-dar City, returned home last week, after a three-week tour of England, one of 110 Civil Air Patrol Pa-trol cadets from the entire nation, selected to participate in the exchange ex-change program this year. Cadet Jackson was one of 23 making the trip to England, going go-ing over in an Air Force C-54 Skymaster and returning in a C-97 Stratocruiser. Some of the activities for the cadets while in England included: includ-ed: a tour of Edinborough castle, visiting and staying over-night at various Royal Air Force bases, attending the Festival of Britian, which Is now in progress, exhibitions exhi-bitions of British jet planes and tour of a US B-29 base in England. Eng-land. Mr. Jackson was heard over the local radio station Wednesday evening, in a recording made while the cadets visited the Festival Fes-tival of Britain their last day in England. Jackson is a first lieutenant in the Cedar City CAP, and is a senior sen-ior student at Cedar City high school. |
