Ir-iM 1 - ' M .in.,,..! j TEMPLE VOWS: Mr. and Mrs. William Leon Stevenson ' were honored at a reception Friday, July 15, following a wedding ceremony in the St. George LDS Temple. Mrs. Stevenson is the former Miss Winnie Nell Heywood, daugh-; daugh-; ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Heywood of Cedar City. ' Winnie Nell Heywood Recites Wedding 1 Vows with William LeonStevenson at Temple Wedding vows, spoken in the hallowed chamber of the St. George Temple, were recited Friday, Fri-day, July 15 by Winnie Nell Hey-wood Hey-wood and William Leon Stevenson. Steven-son. President Harold S. Snow officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride is a daughter of Bishop Bish-op and Mrs. James Heywood of Cedar City and the bridegroom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Stevenson of Las Vegas, and former for-mer residents of this city. Friday evening the wedding group returned to Cedar City where the couple was honored at a reception at the home of the bride's parents on South Main Street. The bride, radiant in a waltz length bridal gown of white lace and pleted nylon over white satin, was attended by her sister, Mrs. Gaylen Bagley, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids in the receiving line, dressed in blue and pink formals, included Jacqueline Jac-queline Winterrose, Annette Hey-w'ood, Hey-w'ood, and Claudia Hirschl. Boyd Stevenson, brother of the bridegroom, bride-groom, stood as best man. Ushers were Gaylen Bagley, and Kay and Joe Heywood. Musical Musi-cal numbers rendered during the evening were given by Maridon Smith Nielson, Richard and Reed Heywood and Kay Heywood. Helen Hel-en Harris was in charge of the guest book. Rooms at the Heywood home were beautifully decorated with summer flowers. Flower girls were petite Mary Alive Heywood, sister of the bride, and cherl 'Stevenson, niece of the bridegroom. Ardella Ford, Leona Grimshaw, Belle Jones and Virginia Stevenson Steven-son presided at the serving table, ta-ble, with Julia Rose Bentley. Gerry Ger-ry Smith, Sandra and Elaine Langford, Marleen Hansen and Ann Carter, serving the guests. Assisting in the guest room were Mary Kay Croft and Mar-Ann Mar-Ann Webster. The popular young newlyw'eds are now honeymooning in Yellowstone Yel-lowstone National Park. They will return to Cedar City to make their home. The new Mrs. Stevenson is a graduate of the Cedar City high school and has attended the College Col-lege of Southern Utah. Mr. Stevenson Stev-enson graduated from the Las Vegas High School and was also ' a student on the CSU campus last year. |
