Show Cedar Resident Is Contest Semi-Finalist Mrs. Aenes M. Wood of Tpdar City has been selected as one of 22 semi-finalists in the national "Sweet 75" contest sponsored by , the Photographers' Association of America. Homer S. Jones, owner and operator op-erator of Ziori Photo, a member of the association, entered Mrs. Wood's portrait in the contest which is being conducted to find America's most photogenic and charming woman born in the year 1880, the year the association associa-tion was formed. The final selection of the winner win-ner will be made by a panel of distinguished American women, Including Eleanor Roosevelt, Mary Margaret McBride and Fleur Cowles. The winner of the "Sweet 75" contest will be introduced as a special guest at the association's annual convention to be held on Aug. 15 through 19 at Chicago. The photographer who takes the winning picture will receive prizes of photographic equipment and supplies for his studio. The winner of the contest will also receive prizes including an 11-day 11-day trip to Mexico for two and a Necchi sewing machine. Announcement of the selection of Mrs. Wood as one of the semi-finalists semi-finalists was made through the association's publicity department, depart-ment, Chicago, early this week. |
