Show Steel Strike Felt In Cedar; Utah Construction Idled The steel strike, which has idled id-led a large number of Cedar City workers, is beginning to be keenly keen-ly felt in business circles of the community, with no indication that the strike situation will be changed in the near future. About 70 employees of the Utah Construction company, - not out on strike, were given early vacations last week end, because stripping operations they have been engaged in since the strike started, have been completed. If the strike is not settled by the time the men end their vacations, vaca-tions, the effect will be that these men cannot go back to work, reducing the payroll at the mines and retarding business activities ac-tivities even further. The Utah Construction company com-pany had been shipping ore to the Colorado Fuel and Iron company com-pany at Pueblo, Colo., and to the Kaiser Steel company at Fon-tana, Fon-tana, Calif. However, this has also has been stopped. |
