Show Cedar llions Present Song At Convention The Lions Sweetheart Song, written writ-ten by Mrs. Elaine Southwlck, and adopted by the Cedar City Lions club as its official song, was introduced in-troduced at the State Meeting of Lions Clubs in Salt Lake City last Thursday, when the International President made his visit to Utah. A ladles trio composed of Mrs. Evelyn K. Jones, Mrs. Janice M. Prothero and Miss Joan Jones,' all of Cedar City, sang the song during the banquet after which Mrs. South-wick, South-wick, introduced by M. J. Urle, past District Governor, spoke briefly to the group. . The meeting was ' attended by eight members of the local dub, in-cludulng in-cludulng President L. N.'Marsden, Jr., Dr. J, "8. Prestwlch, Dr. Reed W. rarnsworth, M.' J. Urle, Howard Baker, Theo Corry, D. Ned Sargent, and C. J. Beasley. ; ( A report of the 'Salt Lake meeting meet-ing was given at the local club meeting meet-ing Monday, and which Hal Chrlv tensen, gave an Interesting discussion discus-sion and presented motion 'picture on the placement of physically handicapped han-dicapped veterans in lnduustry, showing that there is definitely place in employment for these men, without special concessions granted them. |
