Graff of Hurricane paid $775 for the grand champion of the Utah Hereford Breeder's' Association 3?le held in Cedar City last Thursday. Thurs-day. The animal shown in the above picture with the owner and Dr. Donald Bell of the Branch AgrK cutural College, 1 "Utah Prince 52nd" and was bred and consigned to the sale by Wlnterton Brothers, Kamas. "Donald Domino 8th", entered by Anderson Brothers, Tremonton, was judged reserve champion and sold to H. C. Ayre, Unionvtlle, for $555. Waldon Isom, Cedar City, paid $500 for Western Prince 20th, consigned by Wlnterton Brothers. Forty-eight head of Utah's choice Hereford bulls were sold during the one-day event, with an average of $342 per head paid for the animals! In addition to the three sales mentioned above other top prices Included Advance Domino Compact 5th, consigned by Oeorge Schuman and Sons, Tremonton, and sold to Douglas Clark, Cedar City for $485; K. B. Donald, Domino 2nd, by Geo. i Schuman and Sons, to Edgar Benson Ben-son Parowan. $475; Super 33th, by Peterson Brothers, to J. W. Melllng, $475; Advance Junior Domino 11th, by O. B. Hawley, Richfield, to C.i HrL Newcastle. $450; Bocaldo's Domino 15th, by' Peterson, Brp,hrs. to Fred C. Heaton," Moccasin, Ariz., 470. |
