Show Parry Wagons To Appear in Death Valley Fete Gronway R. Parry has contracted contract-ed with Forty-Niners, Inc., at Death Valley, California to fur-r fur-r ish six oxen and eight covered wagons for the Death Valley celebration cel-ebration on December 3. Edwin li.'gbee and Thurlow Gardner, oxen skinners for Parry, will leave with the outfit for the Cali-ifornia Cali-ifornia city on December 1. I The oxen and wagons have become be-come nationally famous ano1 have been seen in all parts of tlir country during the past few months. First they appeared at a celebration in Brawley, Cali-fninia. Cali-fninia. then at the Ilelldorado in Las Vegas, where they won first pize. Next they appeared In the Pond Drive parade at Independence, Indepen-dence, Missouri and then at the National Junior Chamber of Commerce Com-merce convention at Colorado Springs, Colorado. Their last appearance was at Provo, when they were featured in the Provo City centennial parade. |
