Show Teen-Agers Enjoy Dance At Armory Approximately 150 teen-agers ;n Cedar enjoyed themselves Wednesday Wednes-day evening in the Armory b Hiding Hid-ing in the first of a series of Teen-Town Teen-Town sponsored dances to be held during the summer. The dance was organized nnl conducted con-ducted by a special committee ol teen-town members under the supervision sup-ervision of Sheldon Olds, honorary teen-town citizen. Barbara Green daughter of Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Green and Gerald Bradshaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sherwin Bradshaw Brad-shaw were co-chairmen of the dance committee. The music was furnished by the Teen-Town dance orchestra composed of the members of the High school dance band. Attending the dance as patrons for the teen-town teen-town group were Mr. and M:s. Ed. South wick, Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Dix, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Murschel, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Raddatz, and Mr. and Mrs. Byrne Fernellus. Joe Hunter Hun-ter presented musical selection on his singing saw during intermUs'oii. Admission to the dance was 52c per person for teen-town members. The dance was so much enjoyed i.y the orderly and well-mannered group that it was decided to hold a similar sim-ilar one next Wednesday in the Open Air pavilion. The Teen-Town group are making plans for an extensive sports program pro-gram for teenagers during the summer months through the cooperation coop-eration of the City recreational department de-partment as well as a series of civic projects designed to teach the young, er people leadership and good citizenship. |
