Show Committee Outlines . Russian Relief Plans Reed Bradshaw, E. E. House, and Mrs. John Brown, acting as a cen- tral committee for the local "Clothes For Russians" drive, as relpresentatives of the Office of Civilian Defence, American Legion1 and American Legion Auxiliary,! respectively, announce that the drive In Cedar City will be con-j centrated In a two day campaign' and asked all housewives to cooperate coop-erate in order that the Job may be completed in two days. The committee members ask that housewives, during first four days of the drive, beginning Monday, August 7th.. gather up all usuable clothing, sho?s, etc, that they can contribute, bundle them together in a compact bundle, or box them, In order that the contributions can be gathered up quickly and easily on Friday and Saturday, August 11th. and 12th. j Trucks will te sent over the town on those two days, and people peo-ple are asked to place their bundles! on the front porch, or the curb by 9:00 A.M. Friday, and they will be picked up and hauled to the de-Kt. de-Kt. it Is Important that all bundles bun-dles be set out by Friday morning. In order that return trips will not be necessary. The Committee calls attention to the fact that In order to avoid confusion and much waste It Is necessary to tic shoes together In pairs, if this Is not done pairs will be separated in gathering and shipping and will be of little use. It will also avoid much extra work If the clothing contributed Is tightly bundled or boxed. Clothing contributed should be wearable and clean enough for immediate use. Above all please remember to have articles ready for collection by 9:00 a.m. Friday, August 11th. |
