Show Engineers Needed To Staff Huge Reclamation Job The U. S. Bureau of Reclamation prepared today to launch a 140 million dollar development program the biggest in its history in 17-rtate area spreading over tha Great Plaias. the Rocky Mountain Region and the West Coast Region i-T-.yj.i.ij . while the U. S. Civil Service Commission Com-mission Invited the applications of engineers of all types to staff a designing and construction office that Is expected to employ 3200 workers in Denver by June 30th. Although veterans are given preference pref-erence in civil service appointment, not enough of them will have engineering en-gineering skills to fill present vacancies, va-cancies, C. L. Edwards, Director of the 13th U. S. Civil Service Region, predicted and examinations are now open to the public at large. No written tests will be held; applicants ap-plicants will be judged on the basis of their experience and training. Salaries for sub-professional engineers engi-neers range from $1572 to $2980 a year, and professional engineers range from $2300 to $3100 a year.
