Show S. U. Livestock Assn. Will Convene Tuesday, Feb. 12 The Southern Utah Livestock Association's Annual Convention will be held Feb. 12th, at which there will be in attendence leaders from the Utah State Wool Growers Grow-ers Association; Secretary James A. Hooper; President Don Clyde, Heber City; the heads from the various Departments of the U5.A. C. at Logan, including Dr. Walker, A.C. Esplln, and others; Don Ken-ney. Ken-ney. Utah Commissioner of Agriculture. Agri-culture. Livestock Division; Representative Rep-resentative from the U. S. Forest Mr. Albert Albertson, Supervisor, and E. E. House, Division of Grazing; Graz-ing; and I. H. Jacob, Head, Producers Pro-ducers Livestock Marketing Association. As-sociation. Olso there will be in attendence at-tendence leaders in the fields of Farm Marketing, Railroading, Education, Edu-cation, and Government. They will commence the morning morn-ing session at the Ball Room El Escalante at 10:00 a.m. at which time problems of range managements, manage-ments, soil conservation, reseeding and livestock breeding will be discussed dis-cussed and reports will be given on various livestock experiments carried car-ried on at the B. A. C. in connection connect-ion with the Experiment Service relative to their research and experimentation ex-perimentation in livestock breeding problems and range management. The afternoon meeting commencing commenc-ing at 2:00 p.m. will also be held In the hotel Ball Room. Leaders from the Utah Wool Growers Association. As-sociation. Utah State Department of Agrlculural, Forest and Grazing Graz-ing officials will discuss marketing problems of wool and lambs, predatory preda-tory animal control, and problems of grazing and conservation in connection con-nection with the Forest and Grazing Graz-ing Service. , Herman' C. Aaberg, Director of the Livestock Department, American Amer-ican Farm Bureau Federation, will be a speaker at the meeting. Mr. Aaber has spent most of his time in Washington, and will discuss various phases of the livestock divlsloa The Ladles Auxllary of the Cedar Ce-dar Livestock Association, together with Mrs. Llnford, Home Demonstrator Demon-strator are arranging a wool display dis-play and a full day's program of educational material on wool and lambs and appropriate entertainment entertain-ment for the ladles. The day's program will be climaxed cli-maxed by the Annual banquet and dance at Hotel El Esclante for I which special entertainment has has been arranged. The public Is cordially invited to attend all meet, ings and Join in the fun at the banquet and dance. |
