Show Cedar City Lions Club Discusses Road Development Consideration of the development develop-ment of the Little Creek Peak road, to run between Pangultch and Paragonah to connect U. S. highways 89 and 91, took up a major portion of the regular weekly luncheon meeting of the Oedar CUty Lions Club Monday at the Escalante Hotel. The road from Pangultch to the Iron County line has already been constructed by Garfield county and requests have been made for Iron county to construct the remainder re-mainder of the connecting link between the two highways. Such a connection would be beneficial to residents of both Garfield and Iron counties and would facilitate shipping between the two point,'?, as well as helping to make Cedar City the shopping center for the smaller communities of Cbrfield county. The Civic Improvement and Community Com-munity Betterment Committee of the club, consisting of Wilson N. Lunt, chairman, M. J. Urle, M. C. Roberts, Clarence Miller, and Tern Cardon, was Instructed to confer with other civic organizations and the Board of Iron County Commissioners Com-missioners to see what could oe done to hasten the completion of the road. Following the discussion L. N. Marsden, Jr., gave a very interesting interest-ing classification talk. Three new members, Nelson Ty-dlngs, Ty-dlngs, Edwin L. Peterson, and Dr. Frank J. Hawkes, were voted Into the club at the Monday luncheon. |
