Show SAHARA. Sj Sahara, Utah, Nov. 8, 1916. The regular meeting of the Sahara Civic Center Club was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Baker, Bak-er, November 4, 1916. The business session was short but took up a few important matters concerning con-cerning local affairs. Mrs. Mary M. Prey, secretary-treasurer, resigned on account of moving to Lund for the winter months. Miss Laura J. Hed-rick Hed-rick was elected to fill the vacancy. A very interesting literary program in dialects and songs was given, after af-ter which light refreshments were served. The visitors present were Mr. William Lund, Modena; Mr. Warner Mitchell, Parowan; Mr. Joseph S. Fife, Cedar City, and Mr. C. A. Anderson, An-derson, Los Angeles, Calif., who made very interesting and instructive talks. Both Mr. and Mrs. Baker have proven themselves excellent host and hostess. Next meeting to be held at the school house, Saturday evening, Nov. 18th. The construction of the new school house at Sahara was begun last Thursday, November 2. The men of the club are donating their services for the enlargement of the original plans. The building will be 24x36 feet, which will be very commodious for the community. The general election was held Tues day at the temporary school building. On account of the weather there was not as large a poll as anticipated. Mr. C. A. Anderson, who has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Magnussen for the past few days, returned to Los Angeles last evening. Union Sunday School 10:30 a. m. Mr. G. C.
