July 28th. The meeting is of especial interest to all as it is the election of officers for the ensuing term. Cake and Coffee will be served. Please re I member and reserve the evening. ! July 24th is Pioneer day in 'Utah, and all of the older settlers especially hold this as the great ! day of their state. We are all J asked to join them in celebrating the day in fitting manner. At New Castle a meeting will he held it ten o'clock and Mr. W. C. Jenkins Jen-kins of Meryl has been asked to address ad-dress the meeting. Mrs Sweeney has also been requested to sing. It would he well if more of us would attend and become better acquainted with our New Castle friends. The dub correspondent) Mrs. Sweeney, havinb been away, the items from Meryl and Yale are a little late. Since last writing two I meetings of, the "R. Y. H." 1-arm- ' er's Association have been held. , The first at the Armstrong Chapel on Saturday. June 30th. A social evening was spent and. refreshments refresh-ments were served at a late hour. Mr. Guy Cadwaltadet and his sister sis-ter had lemons sent up from California Cal-ifornia and we had ice cold lemonade lem-onade and plent of M and the most delicious cakes. It was a treat for all. The other meeting was held at Yale school house on July Mih. An enjoyable program was rendered by the Yale mem 1" rs. It was in the nature of an III negro concert and camp meet ing and the participants were certainly cer-tainly dressed the part. There was " ld Black Joe." Miss Lily Pearl White, Brother Brown end mam others and we would really imag i ine they were in the Sunny South-1 land. A short business session' followed the social hour. |
