Decker has been appointed appoint-ed county chairman for the Citizen's State Publicity campaign of the Salvation Sal-vation Army in their effort to raise needed funds for the carrying on of their merciful and humane work, and has chosen precinct chairmen to assist as-sist in the various communities, as follows: Up. Thomas Jones, Puragonah. David Matheson, Parowan. J. H. Dalley, Summit. Up. ('has. Iv Jones, Enoch. Richard A. Thorley. Cedar City. Wallace Williams, Kanarra. Harry Doolittle, Lund. K. C. Knell. Newcastle. William I.und, Modena. Onirics R. Mahey, well known to Iron county people, is an active worker work-er for the success of the drive. Our only regret is that more time has not been given to get the matter properly before the community, us we are sure that our citizens would rally loyally to the support of this worthy organiza- i tion because of the treatment they , accorded our Sammies in the service We have yet to hear the first soldier have anything but good to say of the I Salvation Army, though many are ! very sore at the Y. M. C. A. The drive is supposed to close Sat untey, July 26, but we believe that an extension of the time should be obtained for this county. |
