Miss Amy Wilkins who has been employed on The Record force for the last six months severed her connection with the paper last Saturday and on Sun-day Sun-day departed for her home in Washington, Washington county. Last week we mentioned the arrest of a young man of this city on a charge preferred by a f complainant at Milford. It now l appears that the fellow who made, the complaint is the one who was the greater offender. He came to Cedar to push his action but his own conduct brought him into trouble with the result that he was locked up by the marshal. Evidently the first man was the victim of the malice of the latter, and nothing more, and his arrest-was $n the nature of an injustice. I 1 ! Fletcher & Flecthor this week completed the electrical wiring on the new Cedars hotel. It is a splendid piece of workmanship, oi the most modern type and is in keeping with the class of work generally followed on the building. Mr. George C. Myers of Pan-guitch Pan-guitch and Miss Ethel Macfar-lane Macfar-lane of this city were united in marriage recently in the temple at St. George. The young people are highly respected, both of them being graduates of the branch noitmal of this place. Mr. Joseph Nelson of Provo was in the city the first of the week for the purpose of submitting submit-ting a sketch for the proposed ichool building. He was the successful suc-cessful architect, being selected by the school board to draw plans for the building. A disasterous fire at Parowan last Saturday morning destroyed the dental offices of Drs. Gower & Rogers, dentists, involving a loss estimated at more than $1,000. The entire contents of the building was burned but the building was saved from destruction. des-truction. A splendid musical entertainment entertain-ment was given in the tabernacle Sunday evening by the library board for the purpose of raisin funds for the purchase of books for the library. No admission was charged but voluntary contributions con-tributions were accepted, and these totaled $39. Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Thorfey returned home Tuesday after a honey-moon .trip .of four weeks through California.
