Show ART EXHIBIT. An annual Art exhibition is being held from the 10th to the 30th of the ' present month, in the Art room of the B. A. C. north building. A welcome wel-come invitation is extended to all who I are interested in Art, or who love ' fine pictures. There is in this collec-1 tion six of the finest of paintings by Lee Green Richards of Salt Lake City. I His Spring Blossoms and Mount Tin-1 pannogas show an exquisite harmony ! and gives one a real feeling of springtime. spring-time. His snow scene, which was I highly honored in Paris two years ago, expresses the master's power in execution with the brush, his freedom i and delicate tints of purple and grays denote his keenly developed power in rendering perfect such a difficult problem. prob-lem. A portrait of a young lady sitting sit-ting at the piano composing denotes his ability as a portrait and figure painter. A. B. Wright of Salt Lake City gives us the rich effect of some won j derful evening glows on the Jordan River. If one is a lover of scenes of trees and water come and see these paintings. They are gems. They give us a satisfaction and "a joy forever." for-ever." And Mary Teasdel, with her French peasants, both in oil and water color, which are gems real art in all its beauty. Look at her Still Life of Graniums; looking out of the window you see a beautiful landscape, the delicate winter snow, all blend in a most beautiful harmony with the gentle gen-tle pink flowers. And her Autumn scene of the Meadows and Mountains makes one feel that she portrays the real spirit of the season. Mr. Moser also has three scenes of the newly discovered natural bridge in Cedur Canyon. It will be worth your while to spend a few moments in this department. This is an opportunity seldom afforded af-forded in a sparsely populated district dis-trict such as this, and it should be Improved Im-proved by every resident of this section sec-tion of the country. |
