Show FIRST ANNUAL TOUR U. A. C iLEE CLUB Singws from the Logan College Give I Cedar People Splendid Musical Treat. Derth of space last issue prevented us from giving an account of the concert con-cert given here by the Utah Agricultural Agricul-tural Glee Club on their first annual tour of the state, under the direction of Professor A. R. Johnson and the management of Jos. E. Otte. The club comprised in all 24 male singers, but due to exposure a night or two previous pre-vious t-vo of the strong members of the club were unable to take part in the concert rendered here. These were Manager Otte and A. E. Blackner, their tenor soloist. However, despite these handicaps, the club made an excellent showing and gave the people peo-ple of Cedar City a genuine musical treat. The concert was given in the Tab-treacle Tab-treacle Thursday evening, February 8. A list of the singers and the program pro-gram given follows: First Tenors. A. E. Blackner, J. W. Thornton, E. J. The work of William Peterson, accompanist, ac-companist, on the selections given, was possibly the best ever witnessed here. His technique was simply mar- j velous, and his time and expression perfect. The Club has a cordial invitation to I visit Cedar City as often as convenient ' in the future. A large audience was ' out to hear them and everybody appeared ap-peared to be well pleased with the renditions. |
