Show MANY SUFFERERS OBTAIN RELIEF. Local Physicians, With Dr. Middleton of Salt Lake Perform Operations Opera-tions Saturday and Sunday. Tho presence of Dr. G. W. Middle-ton Middle-ton of the L. D. S. Hospital at Salt Lake, was made necessary in Cedar City again last Saturday and Sunday by reason of tho performance of one .or more major operations of a difficult diffi-cult nature, chief of which was tho case of I. J. Riddle of Escalante, who after suffering from n severo case of hernia for 25 years, came to Doctor Leonard of this city for belief. The case was of such an aggrevated character char-acter and of so long standing that the local practitioner did not feel like attempting at-tempting it without the very best assistance as-sistance obtainable, and therefore called Dr. Middleton into the ense. The operation was apparently entirely en-tirely successful, and it is believed that it will be attended with good results. re-sults. The patient 1b doing nicely at this writing. While here the visrting surgeon also al-so performed tho following other operations: op-erations: Clarence Riddle, son of tho patient above mentioned, was operated for a mild case of hernia. A little child of Eugene Cripps of Hamilton's Fort underwent a second operation for hair lip and cleft pal-i pal-i ate. . I Parson Webster of this place was operated on for varicose veins. The two latter patients were Dr. Macfarlanc's. |
