If there Is one word in the English language which strikes a more re-sponsive re-sponsive chord in the human heart, than any other it is that good old fashioned word Christmas. It signifies a time of good cheer, happiness and merry making. Child ren look eagerly forward to its coming, com-ing, with the greatest anticipations ' of the good times it will bring. Go where we will, and wander as wo may from the old hearthstone the memory of the delicious happiness inspired by ' the inspiration of the stuffed stocking in the early morning hours, with implicit im-plicit faith in Santa Claus and his yearly visits, can never be forgotten. The young people delight to bo at home for Christmas, and look forward for-ward to the partaking of the warm and congenial spirit, which seems to fill the air, among their parents and kindred, and join in the tocial amusements amuse-ments alwayB in evidence at this festive fes-tive season, with their friends and companions. Parents like to see all the children back again, to hear of their efforts and accomplishments, and to get joy and happiness from the companionship of their dear ones. Christmas is hero again may it bo a happy day for all. May it make the people more kind to the unfortunate; more helpful to tho needy; more un-;,--r selfish in service; so that each may be able to appreciate and enjoy the benefits bene-fits and pleasures which may come to those who are truly prepared for this most happy season. |
