Show COMMERCIAL CLUB'S SPLENDIDBANQUET Annual Reorganization and Social Function at Cosy Corner Last Saturday is Rig Success. Last Saturday night the Cedar City Commercial club held the cantor of the stae, when, with their ladies and a number of invited guests, they assembled as-sembled at the Cosy Corner Cnfe and partook of a sumptuous banquet, discussed dis-cussed various matters pertaining to the development and progress of Ce dar City, and effected the reorganization reorganiza-tion of the club. In the unavoidable absence of the president, Dr. M. .). Macfarlane, and vice-Presidcnt Henry W. Lunt, Secre-tary Secre-tary L. John Nuttall took charge of at the banquet. The number of mem , lu.-, and ginsts considerably over-' ran th" estimates, and it was necessary neces-sary to improvise two or three more tables, completely filling the Cosy quarters from front door to kitchen entrance. This caused some little delay, de-lay, but Manager Woolley arose to j the exigent ios of the situation imgood i shape! and the benqui t was a decided lUCCetlj despite tin fact of its be ing a little crowded. '1 here were present, by special in-' vitation, Pres. Webb of the Iron Co. Coal company, together with several officer! and employees of bis company, and the chief topics discussed were the impending development! in this county, with some remenii ciences of our past history. Pres. Webb and those accompanying him gave good as lurancaa of their honest purposes in this locality, anil they were given a warm welcome by the speakeis on the part of the club nnd Cedar City. The Commercial club was reorganize.! reorgan-ize.! by the election of Jill the previous officers. |
