M. Snow, Tho compnny expects to let a contract for a big dam at once, open local offices offi-ces and push tho colonization work rapidly. Mr. Toy and Mr. Snow yesterday yes-terday afternoon conferred with state Engineer W. D. Beers in regard to details of tho water rights.. According to Mr. Toy, tho company has approximately 30,000 acres of land, part of which is to be settled under un-der tho Carey act. He predicts that tho land will be settled rapidly and that during the noxt three or four years Utah and other intermountnln states will receive a vast Influx of settlers. set-tlers. Ho says that statistics compiled com-piled on the cost show that many hundred hun-dred thousands of foreigners have been buying tickets for America in the country on tho payment plan nnd that most of these tickets will be paid foi about January 1, 1016. Ho says this will mean a heavy immigration next year, and if tho system Is continued by tho steamship companies it menns tho samo sort of business tho following follow-ing years. Ho thinks that many will go first to tho coast, but falling to find room thoro they will come to tho ns yet uncrowded intcrmountaln states. |
