Show Santa Claus Thorley. One of the biggest hearted men In Cedar City is Richard A. Thorloy, a noxt door neighbor of the editor of Tho Record. "Al.," as he is familiarly known, has a good many Cedar people in his debt for one accommodation or another, and is always on hand to assist as-sist so far as lies In his power any deserving person who is in difficulty. Last Monday, when the editor re turned homo for dinner, ho found "Santa" Thorley in possession of the lot and busily engaged In plowing and replowlng our garden plot. Incidentally Inciden-tally wo learned that he had performed per-formed the same service for about half a dozen other neighbors on the same street. Somo might construo this to bo a reflection upon the condition con-dition of our lots, and we for one aro quite willing to admit that In our particular par-ticular case such an assumption Is warranted; but knowing tho liberal, kindly disposition of tho benefactor, we know that the acts wore porformed for no other reason than a desire to do good and confer a benefit, which wo gladly acknowledge and fully appreciate. ap-preciate. Wo hope that Neighbor Thorley may live many, many years to enjoy the "return of the bread that he U ever casting upon tho waters." |
