Show H LIIASli MNfiWIiD. H Once more wc have the pleasure of H nolifyinc our readers that we have sc- H cuscd a new lease on llic Record plant H nnd this lime for three yean. At the H close of the past year's lease the lessee H was somewhat undccidcd.but after careful H deliberation, taking into consideration that H the business men and citizens of Iron H County had m'ven such liberal support, H and that there had been but few com H plaints reach the office in rcsjnrd to the B attitude of the paper under his manage 1 ment, he decided to try again. H Thanks is due the' subscribers for the H manner in which they have responded in H their moral and financial support, and nl- H so in the way ihcy have defended their H home paper at all times. With the ex- H ception of one or two, so far as can be H learned, the subscribers have been cn- H tircly satisfied with the attitude and H clean-cut policy of the paper, and the H only complaint that could be called one, fl was of the size. But when it is taken H into consideration that Iron County is not M very thickly populated they will readily H see that the lewee is giving full value rc- Bh nr ceived B To the business men of Iron County, H 'and Cedar City in particular, must be B given great credit for their hearty support 1 and the manner in which they have cn- H couraged the lessee. Their advertising H has been well kept up, they have not M stinted in the patronising of the job dc- B partmciit, and have assisted in everyway H possible in keeping alive their home pa- H per, realizing that n good, readable m sheet means much to any up-to-date H county such as Iron County. The incr- m chants of Cedar City have, of course, H been more liberal than those of outside H towns, but that is to be expected, bc- H cause of the fact that the paper is local- H cd here. H Tlic job department has been kept ex- H crptionally busy the past year, nnd it is H believed that general satisfaction has H been given, It has been the aim to H produce work as good and as reasonably 9 as can commonly be had from the north, H nnd the patronage that has been given H will watrnnt the assertion that the busi- H ncss men have been entirely satisfied. H It will be the aim to better the paper I M the coming year and to give nothing but H clean news nnd articles of interest nnd H bonefit. The Record will constantly m boot for Iron County and our Normal H school It will welcome any advancc- H mtmt that may come nnd encourage all H that wirl materially help the county. H The Imo asks the hearty support of M the subscribers and business men of Iron M County for the year 1910, and promis- H es to do his level host to please, and is- M si.e n paper worth the reading. |
