Dr. Anderson is back from Monroe Mon-roe where he, last week, was in attendance at-tendance at the funeral ot his brother, who was killed in France. Miss Gladys McConncll entertained enter-tained the members of the Charter Bridge club at her home Thursday afternoon. After bridge a dainty two-course luncheon was served by the hostess. John Fuller of the Golden Rule store, left today for a three weeks business trip. Mr. Fuller will go to Manti to look after business interests inter-ests there, then to Salt Lake, St. Louis and Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. John Fuller, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fife, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Webster and Mrs. B. F. Knell took their suppers and drove to a point above Green's lake, for a little outing Thursday evening. J. R. Rickards went to Bullion canyon to his mining property with supplies and men to do some more development work. Mr. Rickards states that after driving several hundreds of feet of tunneling the ore vein has been encountered. Mrs. Neil Haywood and Mrs. Elijah Pomcroy of Mesa, Ariz., are visiting in Cedar with old acquaintances. ac-quaintances. Mrs. Haywood and Mrs. Pomcroy will probably be better remembered as the Misses Coleman, who several years ago lived in Pinto. Mrs. Walker Paul will leave tomorrow to-morrow for a two weeks visit at the home of her mother in Salt Lake. Mrs. Paul has received word that the body of her brother, who was killed in France, is being shipped ship-ped home for burial and she will remain for the funeral services. Dr. Bcrgstrom and Jack Wright went to Bclvuc last Tuesday evening, even-ing, and spent the night and the following day snaring the speckled beauties from Bellcv.ue creek. The doctor, so wc believe, was the better angler and "laid it all over" Jack in hooking the trout. Mrs. Piatt Watson's mother and sister of Ogdcn, Utah, arc spending spend-ing three weeks here, as house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Watson. While here they anticipate visiting Zion park, Cedar Breaks and Bryce canyon. They arc very favorably impressed with Ctdar City and vicinity. Mr. Eddards of Los Angeles, arrived ar-rived in Cedar Wednesday, and will remain in this vicinity for several sev-eral days. The gentleman intends to make a tour of the mountains, the iron fields, Zion canyon, Little Creek canyon, Parowan canyon and other places where mineral exists. ex-ists. He will be accompanied by J. E. Eddards of this city. Timpanogos Roberts and three gentlemen passed thru Cedar Tuesday Tues-day on their way to Zion canyon, where they will spend the week in painting the principal points of interest in-terest in Utahs wonderland. Mr. Roberts is athletic director of the B. Y. U. at Provo and an enthusiast enthus-iast on mountain scenery, having been identified for ten years in showing the beauties of Mt. Timpanogos Tim-panogos to hundreds of tourists. George Cason and Abner Perry are doing some very excellent cabinet cab-inet and show window work for F. B. Wood in his new Toggery quarters. The class of work the boys arc doing is exceptional and is the equal of any that has been imported. Wc are not in the habit of giving free advertising, but in this instance we wish to give credit where credit is due, as it will show that Cedar is not behind in the matter mat-ter of having skilled workmen. Wm. H. Leigh states that Mr. Spillsbury made the assertion this week that 7 1-2 cents per pound is being offered for Iron County lambs, that the sale of cattle for this fall is looking brighter and a good figure will be paid.
