Show MUST CLEAN UP. t- The city board of health and the city fathers are going to give the people of Cedar just one more chance to clean up their premises, so' we arc informed, and if no notice no-tice is taken of that chance to clean up, certain places will be condemned con-demned and the owners forced to clean up their premises or be punished by law. It is much bet. ter to do the work voluntarily than have the premises declared a nuis- Iance and a menace to public health i and be brought up before an officer of-ficer of the law and fined for v neglect and endangering the health of your neighbors. We have given notice after notice no-tice of cleaning up and the "cleanup" "clean-up" committee have had inspectors out warning and urging the people, peo-ple, and many have complied, but there is still much to be done along -that line. We noticethat a large number of citizens are making extra efforts ef-forts to destroy the flies in the last few weeks, formaldehyde, sticky paper, poison, traps, etc., being be-ing used quite generally and there is a noticeable decrease in the numbers num-bers of this pest. Keep the good work up and we will soon be free from these disagreeable dis-agreeable and dangerous insects. |
