I "Tho production of B0 lending automobile manufacturers in this country, including STUDEBAKER, but excluding Ford, for Bix months ended June 30 last, totaled 2G3.G79 passenger cars, or approximately ap-proximately 43 per cent of the output of 610,000 vehicles rcportod in tho corresponding period of 1920. "Studebaker turned out 33,740 cars in tho first half, or 133 per cent of its production in the first half of 1920. "Studebaker output for the first half of 1921 was equivalent to nearly near-ly 51 per cent of the COMBINED production as recorded by tho 49 other companies for the same period. "Compared with the total production of 78,198 cars by tho six passenger pas-senger car divisions of General Motors Corporation in the first half of this year, STUDEBAKER'S shipments of 33,740 were equal to slightly less than half. The biggest General Motors producer tho first half of the year was Bick which turned out 28,965 passenger cars. Chevrolet came next with an output of 25,160 and Oldsmobilo held third place with shipments of 11,301. Oakland turned out 6,373 I cars, Cadillac 4,878 and Scripps-Booth 1,461. "Besides STUDEBAKER, there was only one other company in tho list of 50 which produced more cars in the first half of this year than in the corresponding period of 1920. Haynes turned out 3,136 cars tho first six months, compared with 2,048 in the similar period last year." ! DONS GARAGE DON COPPIN, PROP. CEDAR CITY, UTAII |
