Society interest this week centered in the elaborate function given by Mrs. Eagen Thursday afternoon in the parlors par-lors of the Thornburg, complimentary to her mother, Mrs. J. W. McKinley, who has been her guest during the past month, and who expects to return re-turn to her hemp in Mexico Mo.. Tipvt week. About fifty ladies were in attendance at-tendance and numerous exquisite gowns were in evidence. Cards were a feature of the afternoon, the dainty first and second prizes being 'won by Mrs. E. A. Wilkinson and Miss Hilda Durlacher. An elegant luncheon was served in courses, the table being effectively ef-fectively decorated in carnations and each guest receiving a souvenir cluster clus-ter of the same fragrant blossoma. |
