He is associated with that sterling Irish Catholic, William J. Ona-han, Ona-han, in the banking business, and is otherwise a man of many enterprises. He has an extensive estate in the L03 Angeles valley of California,- where he spends about half his time. One of his employments in the land of sunshine and citrons is the breeding of singing birds, and he has gained much renown and popularity thereby. When his aviary becomes overcrowded he opens the wire doors, permits the inmates to fly away and then proceeds to grow a new- flock. He has been doing this for years, and the consequence is that California Cal-ifornia is a-lilt and a-tremble from one end to the other with the most exquisite ex-quisite song-bird music.
