In the city ot 2'ucsday. 6 George Jay Gibson, district dputy j grand knight of the Knights of Columbus, Colum-bus, has gone east to visit his parents. i Mr. and Mrs. William O'Donnell have arrived in the city from Denver, and will reside here for the future. j A full length portrait of Mrs. David Keith has just been completed by Artist Ar-tist George Henry Taggart of this city, j A careful study of the portrait shows it to be one of the best, if not the very best of Mr. Taggart's local work, and i as he has painted about forty portraits this means a good deal. Mrs. Keith i ' has a strong face and the artist has brought out all its best characteristics. The gown is black, with white lace and this with the background, makes a portrait por-trait of more than rare strength. In this connection it will be interest-. interest-. ing for the artists to know that through the generosity of Mr. Keith the state f collection of art has been enabled to ; add to its number of paintings the fa- naous harvest scene by Mr. Taggart, "" . ' -T - 1 his salon picture, and one which always arrests attention from every class of citizens. It was last week taken to the governor's office and when the fu ture art gallery is erected by some of the leading citizens there will be a goodly collection of pictures on hand. Frank Judge has returned from a hunting trip to Colorado. Thomas McCoy has been called to Omaha on account of the serious illness ill-ness of his mother. Miss Stella Glenn has gone to San Francisco to reside. Mrs. William McCune and Mrs. Bailey Cornwall are in the city from Laramie to attend the Elk fair. Father Walsh has returned from Denver. Joseph Gries ofSilver Ciity, Utah, is spending a few days in the city. Edward McGurrin, the well known attorney, spent a few days in Park City last week. He was accompanied by George Trumbo. Mrs. C. D. Clark of Wyoming was the guest of honor at an elaborate reception given by Mrs. Joseph Young on Wednesday afternoon. Receiving with Mrs. Young and Mrs. Clark were Mrs. Kearns, Mrs. Thomas Blyth of Wyoming, Mr. Keogh and Mrs. Luman of Wyoming. In the dining room Mrs. Cosgriff and Mrs. Buchanan poured coffee and they were assisted by Mrs. W. D. Doscher and the Misses Kinney, Kin-ney, Dramer, Thompkins and Grid-ley. Grid-ley. Mrs. T. D.
