Show BOISE, IDA. B. J. Stark and Clyde E. Applegate of Pocatello and E. J. Fry of Pocatello were among those to take the civil service examination in Boise. H. B. McConnell and Wr. H. McCon-nell McCon-nell arrived in Boise yesterday from Roosevelt. Thunder mountain. H. H. Hunter, who represents John F. Campion, the Leadville millionaire, in his investment in the Big Creek country, returned yesterday from a visit to that district. E. L. Alford. business manager of the Lewiston Tribune, accompanied by Mrs. Alford, is in the city on his way to Salt Lake for a week's visit. Mr. Alford Al-ford reports the recent fair at Lewis-ton Lewis-ton a howling, success. Capital News: Word was received in this city last evening of the marriage of Sheriff Joseph D. Daly to Mrs. Kate McCarty at Salt Lake City. Mrs. Mc-Carty Mc-Carty has resided in Boise and conducted con-ducted a boarding house at 512 Grove street until recently, when she disposed of her interests here and went to Nebraska Ne-braska to visit friends. Upon the return re-turn trip to Boise she was met by Sheriff Daly at Salt Lake, and the marriage ceremony ' was performed there Monday evening. Mr. Daly did not confide to his friends his real mission to Salt Lake, and the wedding comes as a surprise. The newly wedded couple are expected to arrive in Boise this evening. |
