Show WE TRUST YOU POPE LEO XIII. magnificent picture has been in preparation tor many months by the best artists in the country. No expense has been spared to make this picture appropriate appropri-ate even to the smallest detail. Upon the upper left hand corner is a view of the VATICAN VATI-CAN AT HOME; upon the tipper njfbt hand corner is a picture oi ST. PETER S CATHEtv RAti at Rome, the largest church ln the world. Between the two is the tiara worn by the Sovereign Sove-reign Pontiff. In the center of the picture encircled by a large imposing arch is a picture of Popo Leo XIII, taken from his latest photograph, photo-graph, and giving one of his most benevolent expressions of countenance. On either side of the arch is a representation of the chalice: beneath be-neath them representations of six candlesticks, containing lighted candles Lower down on the aroh is a reoresentation of the Pope's Insignia on the left side, and on the right is the Ostensorium. Beneath this, and supporting the arch on either si'ie are two figures of angels. Underneath the photograph is a representation representa-tion of a rock upon whicn la engraved a cross, and underneath ar the words: "THOU ART PETER, and upon this rock shall I build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against It." This is particularly appropriate to every trua believer inasmuch as the Pope is the direct descendant of Peter to whom these words apolied, and who is described in Holy "Writ as the rock. The cross represents the Catholic Church which is built on the rock. Underneath the rock are two keys crossed together to-gether with a rosary, and beneath this is a tablet with the words POPE LEO XIII in most beautiful type. On either side of the dablet is a representation of the gates of para-oise, para-oise, which are open to all true believers, and rn the other side are the gates of hell, which evers. There are many other beautiful and appropriate symbols In this picture, such as flowers, censers, etc. It is altogether the most lllaborate and costly production which has ever been printed, and Is meeting with an enormous sale.
