Show "THE BROWNIE BAND." Cantata Cleverly Sung and Acted by the Talented Children and Young Girls of the Junior Choir of St. Mary?s Cathedral. The cantata by the Junior choir of St. Mary's cathedral, which was given at the Grand theatre on Wednesday- night, was a success both artistically and financially. Those taking part sang and acted with repose and confidence con-fidence that is rarely seen in such young people. The opening chorus was beautiful, the pretty costumed and excellent ex-cellent singing making a decided hit with the large audience that applauded vigorously. The solo numbers were all splendid, being rendered by Mary Halloran, Hal-loran, Florence Halloran, Lena Fafek, Nellie Geary, p-Jorence Locke, Clara Fafek, Maida Hegney, Gladys Hegney, Margaret Connelley, Katherine For-dyce, For-dyce, Beatrice, Dollie and Millie Williams, Wil-liams, Thelma Cronin, Eileen Cronin, Teresa Veltz, Helena and Emily Ffis-ter, Ffis-ter, Marie Yeski, Bernadine and Thom-las Thom-las Feeney, Oriella Brooks, Regina j Brooks, Katherine Scribner, Margaret Cronin. Nora Coleman, Beranice Seid-enfaden, Seid-enfaden, Margaret McNichols ' and Kathleen Fitzpatrick. The violinists j were Master Edward Fitzpatrick and Frank Williams. Those in charge of the children were Misses McEvoy, Wey, Harley, Walsh, Flynn, Owen, Weber, Graves, Cuddy; Mrs. C. A. Locke, Mrs. Thomas Feeney, Mrs. Al Whiteman. |
