Show j WEDDING BELLS. Kinney-Daugherty. . The wedding of Miss Mary Kinney and Mr. J. A. Daugherty took place on Tuesday at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. William Manning O'Brien. Only a few of the bride's most intimate friends knew of the approaching mar- I riage, and the wedding was a complete 1 surprise to all but these few. The ceremony 'took place at 10 o'clock in the morning. Rev. Father Kiely officiating offici-ating in the presence of the immedi. ate relatives. Miss Dorothy Kinney was bridesmaid and, Edward O'Brien of Chicago Chi-cago was best man. The bride's gown was a rarely beautiful one of chiffon cloth, with yoke, bertha and medallions medal-lions of real lace. She wore a long tulle veil and carried bride's roses. Following Fol-lowing the ceremony an elegant wedding wed-ding breakfast was served. The decorations deco-rations in the dining room were of violets, a mass of them forming a centerpiece, cen-terpiece, with ferns and white tulle adding to the effectiveness. In the parlor, where the ceremony was performed, per-formed, the decorations were in white carnations, American Beauty roses and palms, and the library was done in pink carnations, ferns and palms. The bride is the daughter of Hon. Timothy Kinney, the well known sheep king of Wyoming. She is a' graduate of St. Mary's academy and has been one of the most popular. society girls. She will be greatly missed in the social world here. She is a beautiful charming charm-ing girl vhoe friends are legion. The groom is a well known business man of Portland, and both he and his bride will have the sincerest gocd wishes and congratulations of a host of friends here and in the Oregon city. Mr. and Mrs. Daugherty left at' noon for California, Cali-fornia, from which port they expect to sail shortly for Honolulu to spend a few weeks. They will be at home to their friends after Feb. 1 in Portland. A number of girl friends of the bride and the officers from the post were at the train to shower the happy couple with rice and wish them every happiness. hap-piness.
