Sullivan and Arthur Ar-thur Sullivan entertained the graduating graduat-ing class of All Hallows college at dinner last Meek. ! The Tonopah Miner has an announcement announce-ment of the coming marriage of Miss Julia Mae Roberts and Thomas J. Lynch, whkh will take place- next Monday. The wedding is to be a great social event, the ceremony at the Catholic Cath-olic church being followed by a largo reception at the home of the bride's parents. Bev. Father Butler will perform per-form the ceremony and the bride will be attended by Miss Evelyn Uoacl.', while- John C. Lynch of Ogden will be the best man. Miss Roberts its a charming charm-ing accomplished girl Mho was edu-' cated in this city, where she has hosts of friends. She is a granddaughter of Mrs. Julia McFadden of thi? city. Mr. Lynch is the well known young mining man of Southern Nevada. He is a graduate of All Hallows college and numbers his friends by the hundreds. The young couple M ill shortly leave for a tour of Europe. 4 Mrs. J. M. Moore left Thursday for a visit of a few weeks at St. Louis and other eastern cities. Frank J. Westcott, upon whom a mastoid operation M-a? performed Sunday Sun-day at St. Mark's hospital, is reported to be improving' satisfactorily. W. J. Caverly, a former railroad man of this city, has been promoted o be traveling freight and passenger agent of the Midland at Denver, vice Austin Gavin, resigned. Mr. and Mrs. Donahue and daughter, Genevieve, of Kankanna, Wis., have been the guests of Mr. and Mis. John Hie key for the part week, i Charles G. Mrs. Edward W. Clarke and children of Butte are guests of Mr. and Mrs O. J. Salisbury. They are on their way to San Francisco, where they will make their home. . f A pleasant affair of Wednesday night was; the card party given by Mr. and Mrs. Geoghegan at their home on North State street, about "forty friends enjoying the event. Music and social chat besides the card contest helped to make the evening a delightful one. |
