Show Knights of Columbus Council. The month of October promises to be busy for the members of the Knights of Columbus of this state and the other adjoining states. On Oct. 6 the local lodge, No. 602, will initiate thirty-five new' members. Three degrees de-grees will be exemplified. The first and second degrees will probably be given by the Salt Lake council, and the third degree by State Deputy W. L. McGinness of Ogden and staff. Following the initiation a banquet will be served in the council hall. Knights of Columbus from Pocatello. Ogden, Park City and Eureka have, been invited. Qn Oct. 13 in commemoration commem-oration of the 415th anniversary of Columbus' Co-lumbus' discovery of America, the Ton-opah Ton-opah and Goldfield councils will hold a joint Initiation at Goldfield. The first degree will be exemplified by the Gold-field Gold-field council, the second by the Tono-pah Tono-pah council, the third by State Deputy W. L. McGinness and the visiting knights. A third degree initiation has been planned by the Ogden council for Oct. 27. The anniversary of the discovery dis-covery of America will be fittingly observed ob-served by the Salt Lake Knights of Columbus vjth requiem mass for the repose of the souls of Columbus and the departed knights on Oct. 12. |
