Show I PARK CITY, UTAH. John F. Welsh, the popular manager of the clothing department of Welsh, Driscoll & Buck, is taking a vacation and left yesterday for a brief visit in Salt Lake. Word was received yesterday that Tom and Helen Kearns, children of ex-Senator ex-Senator Kearns, had been thrown from a pony cart in a runaway accident near Santa Rosa, Cel., and that little Helen had suffered a broken leg and Tom several sev-eral bad bruises about the head and body. Both are doing nicely and no serious effects are anticipated.. The report in a Salt Lake paper yesterday was greatly exaggerated, which will be gratifying to the many friends of Senator Sen-ator and Mrs. Kearns in this city. The following dispatch was received by Rev. Father Galligan this morning: "Kenwood, "Ken-wood, Cal., July 10, '09. Rev. Thomas Galligan Accident not serious. Children Chil-dren resting easier. Will be all right. Thomas Kearns." Park City Record, July 10. Miss Kathryn Shellds spent Sunday and Monday in the Park with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Shields. The young lady returned to Zion on Tuesday afternoon to resume her studies at the university summer school. P. J. Talldn was called to Salt Lake on business Wednesday. Frank J. Westcott spent a couple of days in camp this week. The Misses Minnie and Hiltrude Carey entertained the Misses Susie and Elizabeth Eliza-beth Shields at their home south of town on Wednesday. |
