Show RESOLUTIONS UPON DEATH OF THE LATE FRANK K'GOVERN. Touching resolutions on the death of F. J. McGovern, son of the coroner, were adopted at last Wednesday night's meeting of the Catholic Knights of America, in the Charles block. Mr. McGovern was an earnest worker work-er in the society, and was a universal favorite. The resolutions read as follows fol-lows : "Whereas, Our honored and beloved brother did, on the 14th day of May, suffer the loss of his cherished son, Frank J. McGovern, and "Whereas, The members of this board truly and deeply feel a sincere sympathy sympa-thy with our brother and his estimable wife in this, their sad affliction; be it , "Reso'lved, By branch No. 36, C. K. of A., in regular meeting assembled, that we extend to our jsteemed brother and his good wife our heartfelt sympa-i sympa-i thy in their bereavement, and we pray I that God in His goodness will visit upon up-on our brother and his family all the , -consolation of Holy Mother Church. ' ; and that our brother may fully realize ' that Heaven gives its favorites early death.' "The deceased just approaching man-, man-, i hood, was by an All Wise and Infinitely Good Creator called in his youth to ! Himself. The trials which many of us i : must undergo have been spared him, , ! and fortified by the most blessed Sae-I Sae-I raments of Holy Church, it is our joy 1 to know that our brother's family has ! contributed one more 'warrior to the , ! ranks of the heavenly host.' I "If it be true that 'life is perfected by death,' then was our brother's child 1 soon rrtade perfect, and may this be the consolation of our brother and his family ,as it is our prayer." |
