Show OGDEN, UTAH. j i ' The engagement of Miss Minnie Burke of this city and P. F. Hannifan of Pocatello has been announced. Mrs. Davis was entertained at luncheon lunch-eon by Mrs. A. Fred Wey in Salt Lake on Saturday last. Henry Maloney of Brilliant, O., is visiting vis-iting his sister, Mrs. Frank Boyer, 2700 Grant avenue. Rev. M. Ternes returned Monday after aft-er a trip to Weiser, Ida., where he has been since leaving Ogden some ten days ago. He is accompanied by his niece, Miss Anna Ternes, who goes to Salt Lake to attend the fall millinery openings. open-ings. Thet Misses Ternes conduct a large ladies' furnishing and millinery business at Weiser, and are pni-ticulany prominent in a social way. Miss Terries makes this trip partly" as a matter of business and party for pleasure, taking tak-ing advantage of the company of her uncle. Father Ternes starts for his home in California the middle of next week. J. F. Farley,' former chief of police of Denver, now at' the head of the Pacific Pa-cific coast office of the Thiel Detective agency, was visiting Chief Browning in Ogden Monday. |
