Idaho Consolidated Power company, which owns all the waters of the Snake river at American Falls. nd operates into Pocatello and Blackfoot. Mrs. Mark M. Murtaugh returned Thursday to her home in Milner, Ida., after a week's visit with her mother, Mrs. L. Ford. Miss Nellie Cullcn wa.s entertaining Mrs. Hurdman of Denver last week. John H. McChryslal left for the north Friday night, to conduct an examination ex-amination of mining 'properties. F. 11. McNamee of Piochc, Nev., .is a guest at the Cullen. Judge W. L. Maginnis of Ogden was in Salt Lake Tuesday on legal business in the federal court. Mr. and Mrs. William Tgleheart have returned from Los Angeles, where they spent some time with Miss Eleanor Igleheart. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Craig are receiving receiv-ing congratulations over the arrival of a small son. Mr. and Mrs. W. S. McCornick and their son, Albert, are planning a summer sum-mer tour through Europe. The date of their sailing from New York has not been determined. Mr. Matthew Cullen announces the engagement of his daughter, Nellie, to Frederick U. Leonard. The wedding will occur shortly after Easter and will be one of the prettiest of the spring weddings. Mr. Leonard is one of Salt j Lake's very popular young men, and his fiancee is a winsome, lovely girl, with a beautiful face and charming manner. The young people have" hosts of friends -who are extending- hearty congratulations on the engagement just announced. D. A. Callahan has received a beautiful beau-tiful gift of a medicine chest of carved ivory and jade, from Issho Tsuga, a major in the Japanese army. Mr. Callahan Cal-lahan met Major Tsuga while in the east several years ago. and a warm friendship sprang up between them. The Japanese gentleman was then in the United States investigating conditions condi-tions in the interests of his fellow countrymen. He is now at the front, with the army, and that he should remember re-member his friend during such stormy times, places an added value on the gift. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Cosgriff returned from California last weeki Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cecil Robinson are the happy parents of a fine son, who was born Thursday morning. Dr. J. E. Scallon is building a hand-scme hand-scme home in the eastern part of the city. J. E. Cosgriff is expected to return from Los Angeles this week. Miss Cosgriff Cos-griff will remain in California for several sev-eral weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Simon Bamberger will leave in a few days for a stay of several sev-eral weeks at Ocean Park. W. P.
