Show f 4 t GREAT FALLS ; V '4 $ THE PAULIST MISSION. It Was One of the Most Successful Ever Given In Montana. (Correspondence Intermountain Cathoilc.) Great Falls, Mont., Dec. 12. Last Sunday evening St. Agnes' church saw the closing scene of one -of the most successful missions ever given in Montana Mon-tana by the Paulist Fathers. At the morning services Father McCorry i preached two eloquent and touching sermons. Benediction with' the Papal blessing in the evening crowned the labor of love. ' The vivid and straight-to-the-heart sermon of Fathers Hopper and McCorry Mc-Corry impressed all and drew such audiences au-diences that even standing room early became unavoidable. The people living on the outskirts of the town showed as much zeal and energy in -attending as the central residents. During the mission the children were given special instruction. Under such experienced and loving hands it goes without saying that the little ones will now go on their way benefited and spiritually strengthened. At 5 a. m. Mass and sermon working men Tth lunch bucket in hand were very much in evidence, setting an example ex-ample that would move the most lukewarm luke-warm to action. Fathers McCorry and Hopper and the pastor of St. Agnes, Rev. Father Alleys, Al-leys, all express themselves deeply gratified with the spirit shown throughout through-out by the people, and the final success of the mission. Father McCorry left for San Francisco Fran-cisco on Monday last. Father Hopper will take a short rest in the Sisters' Hospital here. About .Dec. 2!) those eloquent gentlemen ' will again join forces for a successful mission in Helena. Hel-ena. Great Falls at present seems quite safe from smallpox. Not a case has been heard of for nearly three weeks. The only danger now is that some transient tran-sient may bring the malady from Butte or some other affected locality. . Ex-Governor W. T. McConnell of Idaho visited Great Falls last week on business conected with the Indian department. |
