Show ROCK SPRINGS, VVY0. j Rev. Father Lavelle of Kemmerer was a Rock Springs visitor during the week. Miss Elizabeth Moriarity of Green River spent Sunday with Miss Jeanette Park. Sacred Heart Academy. Reverend P. M. Cushnahan, the ever faithful friend of Sacred Heart, returned re-turned to Ogden last Tuesday evening after a trip to the coast. His visit to California and Nevada, though short, seemed much longer to the students of Sacred Heart, who missed his friendly friend-ly face, and eagerly welcomed his return. re-turn. The art pupils spent an enjoyable afternoon last Tuesday viewing the beautiful exhibit displayed at the high school. Paintings from many famous artists commanded their attention. The only regret of the students was that they did not hear the lectures of the distinguished speakers who nightly have been favoring Ogden audiences. Through the kindness of Father Cushnahan Cush-nahan the pupils of Sacred Heart spent an interesting as well as instructive hour with Roosevelt in Africa, as shown in the Josie theatre. The chemistry chem-istry pupils gave proof of their interest inter-est in Bessemer's process by the undivided un-divided attention which they gave to the blasting furnace. Other squally enjoyable numbers completed the programme. pro-gramme. St. Cecelia's day was celebrated In a special manner at Sacred Heart. At 2:30 p. m. the pupils of the intermediate grade in music gave an excellent recital, re-cital, which attested the skill of the performers. Among the visitors at Sacred Heart during the past week was I. B. Harvey of Mountain View, who had spent a day with her daughter, Miss Zelda. Judge W. M. McGinnls, who has been ill for some time, is reported as rapidly improving. One of the most important events in Ogden society circles was the marriage last week of Miss Francis Joyce, daughter daugh-ter of Dr. Joyce, to Mr. Hibbard of Seattle. Se-attle. Miss Joyce will be missed In the sociay circles of the Junction City. Mrs. F. Maloney, widow of the late Judge Maloney. left Ogden last Wednesday Wednes-day for St. Louis, her former home.
