Show OGDEN. Thanksgiving Entertainment by Pupils Pu-pils of Sacred Heart Academy. The pupils of SacreJ Heart academy honored Thanksgiving by the presentation presenta-tion of a unique, select and most interesting in-teresting programme. Though only a few evenings had been devoted to its preparation, every number J was faultlessly rendered, indeed, in-deed, every feature of the entertainment entertain-ment from the graceful draping of the hall to the final tableau, reflected great credit on the young ladies who hud entire charge of the affair. The programme embraced a series of two beautiful, and three fun-provoking tableaux; a humorous drama in two acts, a one-act musical comedy I entitled "Theory and Practice," by the j private vocal class, which called forth J peals of-laughter, and some vocal and instrumental selections. Rev. P. M. Cushnahan complimented the young ladies on their most enjoyable enjoy-able entertainment, dwelling especially especial-ly on the excellent moral underlying their charming little drama. He then expressed a hope that their unmistakable unmistaka-ble talent would soon again find an outlet in an equally .interesting entertainment. enter-tainment. Mr. and Mrs. I. Mj Cooley left last, Thursday for the east on a visit. Paul Noble has returned from the coast. S- Mr. and Mrs. Albert Uiddle 'entertained 'enter-tained a few friends at a Thanksgiving dinner. Those present were: Messrs. and Mesdames Jesste Vanderhoof, J. E. Vanderhoof, Heber Holmes. Ernest Shaw, Miss A. Vanderhoof and Mr. Ed Johanson. Mrs. Hinley entertained the Ladies' Auxiliary, to the Engineers, and several of the gentlemen Friday evening at cards. Mrs. Thomas Lindsay and Mr. Reese were the lucky winners of the first prizes, and Mrs. S. Cave and Mr. Shields the boobies. Miss Ida O'Harnett left 'last week for California. Announcement is made of the marriage mar-riage of Fred J. Kiesel, jr., of this city to Miss Minnie Birdsall of Sacramento, to be solemnized Dec. IS. The Woodmen of the World and Ladies La-dies of Woodcraft gave a very enjoyable enjoy-able card party with refreshments. s Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Thompson of Malad, Ida., were Ogden visitors last week. |
