Show OGDEN, UTAH. ! (Special Correspondence.) Preparatory to the great services of Holy Week and the Feast of the Resurrection, Re-surrection, Rev. P. M. Cushnahan announced an-nounced last Sunday that during two clays of this week the church would be thoroughly cleaned and everything put in readiness for the solemn celebration of the great mysteries commemorated during the days immediately preceding Easter. The members of the Altarso-ciety Altarso-ciety have all arrangements in their capable and willing hands, so "t. Joseph's Jo-seph's will no doubt present an appearance ap-pearance worthy of the good ladies who so generously devote themselves to this labor of love. ' 5fc 2jc The death on Sunday, April 5, of Mrs. S. Platfoot terminated a well-spent, well-spent, exemplary life. Though' she hatl been ill for some time, the end, as always, was least expected. More than a year ago she was stricken with pa- luiysis. rrom wnicn she partially recovered, re-covered, and though ailing, was the guide and spirit of the home on Adams avenue which is now enshrouded in gloom. To the bereaved husband and the sorrowing daughters, Inez and Etta, Et-ta, are extended heartfelt sympathy. The funeral took place Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated in St. Joseph's church, and Rev. P. M. Cushnahan Cush-nahan paid an eloquent tribute to the life of this faithful parishioner. |
