Show ( CATHEDRAL NOTES. Very Rev. Dean Harris returned on Wednesday from a visit to Toronto, Canada. HiKh mass will he resumed on Sunday. Sun-day. Oct. 1. The week morning: mass is celebrated at 7:2 i. Sunday sliorl is held every Sunday murning at 9:150 right after the 9 o'clock mats. Rehearsal for the members of the Junior Ju-nior choir is held every Saturday after-Jioon after-Jioon at 3 o'clock. Mrs. t". M. For the 11 o'clock mass on Sunday the choir will sing the Gounod "Sanr-tus," "Sanr-tus," with Joseph Ksser- tenor soloist. All the members of the choir are requested re-quested to attend the last mass. Rehearsal was held Monday night for the li o'clock choir. Xot all the members mem-bers were present, as the notices of rehearsal re-hearsal were not delivered in time, but a full attndanee. is expected next Monday Mon-day night. For the future rehearsal will be held in the Constitution block, at IMiss Gleason's studio. 22$. Rev. Father Roser returned last week from Tonopah. !Rcv. Father Rutler of Tonopah returned re-turned to his home last week after a delightful visit in this city. October i.--. the month devoted to the 31oy Rosary. Devotions will be held every night at 7:30. with Benediction of the P.Iessed Sacrament Wednesday and 1 Friday nights. y The promoters of the League of the Sacred Heart will meet next Sunday at 2 o'clock at the Cathedral. Next Friday being the first Friday of the month, the members of the league will receive Holy Communion in a body. The members of the St. Ann's Sewing Sew-ing society gladly welcomed two other members last Monday, Mrs. Dan Fitzgerald Fitz-gerald and Miss Dooly. The latter has been a member for many years and has now begun active work in the society for the winter. Twelve dresses were sent out last Monday to the orphanage, the work of the society. Rev. Father Rrennan addressed the children of the Sunday school last Sunday Sun-day after the 9 o'clock mass. The little lit-tle ones paid rapt attention to Father Rrennan, who has the happy faculty of making his words clear to voting and old. The hoys of the St. Laurence Acolyte's Aco-lyte's league will meet Sunday after-I after-I noon at 3 :30. |
