One of the most deiightful events of the season was the elegant reception given last week by Dr. and Mrs. Conroy Con-roy and the Misses Conroy. Mrs. Thomas Fitzgerald has returned from a visit to California. Mrs. Rampton of Pocatello spent last week in Ogden, visiting her daughter, who is attending, the Sacred Heart academy. Miss Ella Conroy has been tendered the direction of the choir of the new-church, new-church, and it is said that she will organize a choir of twenty-five voices. EUREKA, UTAH. Mrs. Phil Clark is the guest of Salt Lake friends. Sister Mary Maude, superior of St. Joseph's school, spent last Sunday in Salt Lake. - The mother general of the Holy Cross order will arrive in Eureka Sunday evening. She is visiting all the houses of her order. The Eureka Hill force was given a two days' layoff this week while the machinery was being overhauled and some repairs made. John Shea has resigned his position as assistant at the Oregon Short Line derot. Jackson McChrystal returned Monday Mon-day night from California.
