Brown gave a charming children s party last week, in honor of the birthday of her little daughter Huldarose. It was a little mother's convention, the children being delegates dele-gates with their little dollies all were given cute little delegate badges, which were kept as souvenirs. Huldarose Broun, Hortense Young, Viviain Smith and Evelyn Moyle. Two of the dollies present were not well one having whooping cough, and the other mumps. Delicious refreshments were served by the "grandmas" Mrs, Land, Mrs Nash and Mrs. Brown. The little guests present were Margaret Collins, Florence Flor-ence Collins, Margaret Burrows, Hortense Hor-tense Young. Zetha Hammer, Nettie Woolf. Miss Marie Luce entertained at a delightful de-lightful euchre party last week in honor of Miss Knickerbocker. Miss Elizabeth Cosgriff won the first prize Mrs. W. K. Twombley-the lone-hand J prize, and Miss Florence Stevenson j was awarded the consolation prize. A handsome guest of honor prize was J presented to MiesJnickerbocker. ! A very pretty wedding of iast week 1 was that of Miss Rosemary Glosz and , Mr. Horace Whitney. The many friends of Mr. J. G. Weaver, Salt Lake's clever verse-writer, verse-writer, are glad to hear that his verses are to be published in a permanent form. A. C. Nelson, state superintendent superintend-ent of the public schools, has accepted them for use in the schools of the state. Mrs. F. E. McGurrin will return on Sunday after a six weeks' visit to California, Cal-ifornia, fully recovered in health. |
